Q. Difference between a Resume and CV

Answer:

According to US and UK recruiters, the words ‘CV’ and ‘Resume’ have, over time, grown to represent the same thing. It is now  widely accepted that a Resume or CV (Curriculum Vitae) is one in the same thing, simply those in North America refer to it as a Resume, whereas most other countries refer to it as a CV.  Both are a 1-3 page summary of your skills, work experience and education (refer to resume length). The only acceptation to this applies to the fields of science & academia, in which case, the term ‘CV’ or Curriculum Vitae is used irrespective of Geographic location. Acceptable lengths in these fields are up to 5 pages (click here to read more).
