Q. How many pages should my resume be?

Answer:

In general resumes and CV’s range between 1-3 pages, the most common length being 2-pages. Exceptions include those with limited work experience, ie. graduates or college students, for whom a one page Resume or CV is likely to be sufficient (some university & college advice centers recommend one-page). At the other end of the scale, persons applying for Senior Management positions including CEO, CFO etc may require up to 3 pages in order to cover all relevant information. Those in the fields of Science or Academia are allowed up to 5 pages in their resumes (click here to find out more) With the above in mind, the general rule is this: “your resume or CV should be as long as is required to concisely summarize and present your relevant work history, skills & experience”.
